Self Love and Aging

Update: I haven't written a blog since August 2022. There have been so many changes in my life that have distracted me.

Sept 2022
1. Granddaughter #10 arrived on my birthday - 9/14.
October 2022
2. Moved from Bentonville, AR to Plainview, AR (behind my daughter - and closer to grandbaby)
3. We moved into a 32 foot camper while building our new home - downsizing from a 3bedroom home with a garage.
November
4. My daughter has a house fire that affected 2/3 of their home.

December: 4. Hubby was terminated due to Walmart doing away with his position.

5. Christmas happened.

So - here I am trying to get back to blogging.

Self-love and aging are two important topics that are often intertwined. As we age, it can be easy to focus on the negative changes that happen to our bodies and minds, such as wrinkles and memory loss. However, it's important to remember that aging is a natural part of life and there are many ways to embrace it and continue to love ourselves.

One of the most important things to remember when it comes to self-love and aging is that it's never too late to start. Whether you're in your 20s or your 80s, it's possible to develop a positive relationship with yourself and learn to love yourself unconditionally.

One way to practice self-love as we age is to focus on the things that make us unique and special. This can include our talents, abilities, and experiences. It's important to celebrate and appreciate these aspects of ourselves, rather than focusing on what we perceive as flaws or shortcomings.

Another way to practice self-love as we age is to take care of ourselves physically, emotionally, and mentally. This can include exercise, eating a healthy diet, getting enough sleep, and managing stress. When we take care of ourselves, we feel better about ourselves and are more able to love ourselves.

It's also important to surround ourselves with people who love and support us. Having a strong support system can make a huge difference in how we feel about ourselves, especially as we age.

Finally, it's important to remember that aging is a privilege, not a curse. Not everyone gets to grow old, so it's important to be grateful for the opportunity to do so and to make the most of the time we have.

In conclusion, self-love and aging go hand in hand. It's never too late to start loving ourselves, and by focusing on our unique qualities, taking care of ourselves, surrounding ourselves with supportive people, and remembering that aging is a privilege, we can learn to embrace and love ourselves as we age.
